DAE implemented pilot actions in Kanithos Park and Lighthouse Park, as well as in the wider intervention area on Evia. Karababa Castle (recently renovated) dominates the hilltop above Kanitos. Inside there is an exhibition space where sculptures from the area of Halkida are exhibited. In the grounds of the castle there is a promenade, as well as a park, both of which are not well known to tourists. Lighthouse Park is located in Halkida) and is used - among other things - for cultural events. The traditional lighthouse tower is 12 m high, almost 130 years old, stone and fully functional. The privileged location of the park near the sea, its flora (mainly pine trees) and facilities (benches, tables, etc.) make it ideal for various leisure activities. The purpose of this pilot action was to promote the Kanithos park, as well as the lighthouse park, for the purpose of sustainable tourism according to the participatory management model
TANGRAM Info Point in Evia
The information point was established in the premises of the Evia Development Agency, with the aim of sending information about the entire route of TANGRAM and the specific route on Evia, as well as other main results of the project (TANGRAM Transnational Network, etc.).
Mobile app of the TANGRAM route in Evia
The mobile application was designed and developed for the intervention area on Evia, providing information on the key points (parks, tourist facilities, cultural monuments, etc.) of the route established on Evia, including the Kanithos Park and the Lighthouse Park. The application is available in two languages (English and Greek). The application also promotes volunteerism (communication between stakeholders and initiation of action) by exploiting gamification techniques.
