Pilot Action in forest/park area of Panovec
In the immediate vicinity of the city of Nova Gorica there is a forest/park area Panovec, which is part of the protected area NATURA 2000. Active involvement of Panovec in the everyday life of the city of Nova Gorica is assessed as one of the challenges for improving the quality of life in the city and greater protection of the sensitive natural area. Therefore, after the feasibility studies of didactic boards and learning tools, a pilot action related to the management of Panovec is implemented
Didactic information boards
These information boards are placed at different entry points to the Panovec forest, and serve to introduce visitors to important habitats and species, as well as (in)adequate forms of behavior in the natural environment.
Didactic tools
These tools are placed on an educational forest trail and are intended for the youngest visitors to Panovac. They present flora and fauna in an interesting and instructive way, and children are introduced to the importance of nature protection and ecosystem preservation.
Web application
Web application will provide interesting and educative information about each information point on the Panovec forest path. The purpose of the application is to educate and raise awareness of the general public on the coexistence of the urban environment and sensitive protected areas
