Pilot action in Bohinj
More than 60% of Bohinj is located in the central and peripheral area of the Triglav National Park, the only national park in Slovenia. Lake Bohinj is located in a glacial valley and contains almost 100 million cubic meters of water. The steeply sloping lake basin is relatively smooth and has no shoals. Lake Bohinj is perfect for water activities all year round – from swimming, boating, windsurfing, kayaking or canoeing, fishing and diving in the warmer months, to (sometimes) even ice skating in the winter. Visitors can also take a ride on a beautiful tourist boat or simply go for a relaxing walk along the coast. Green mobility was the priority of the pilot action promoted in the Bohini area, connecting the lake with its surroundings and promoting the parks and gardens located in the area.
Green Mobility Plan
The National Park and the area sorroundings are quite well connected, but they mobility planning must be improved with a sustainable approach. A moblity plan will increase the access to the parks and to the correlated areas.
TANGRAM slow tourism info point
In accordance with the Mobility Plan and to promote the area, a slow tourism info point was built in the Park area, which promotes slow tourism, sports and attractions of the area.
