Pilot Action in the Island of Murter
The main goal of this activity is to increase the awareness of tourists and local residents about the importance of preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the island of Murter. The island, together with the surrounding islands and areas, is already included in the NATURA 2000 protected areas. Through a campaign organized in cooperation with partners and stakeholders, Argonauta created a website that promotes the island as a place where nature and cultural heritage are used in balance with nature. Argonauta designed a campaign that promotes national parks and nature parks in our immediate vicinity (Kornati and Krka National Parks, Telašćica and Vrana Lake Nature Parks) as well as the entire island of Murter as places of special natural and cultural value, which are worth seeing and need to be maintained without destruction.
The digital media mix (web, mobile applications, campaigns at social networks)
It created the touristic website of the island of Murter with an emphasis on its special natural protection under NATURA 2000 areas, national parks and nature parks in the area, rich cultural heritage and hidden traditions that have always been connected to nature. The website brings tourists motivated by nature, heritage and sustainable living also thanks to mobile mobile applications and targeted campaigns at the level of social networks.
Educative paths on the territories of Murter island (land & sea)
These paths were created in harmony with nature and are an excellent opportunity to attract more tourists motivated by nature in the off-season, which will affect the development of sustainable tourism. The underwater educational trails are enriched with an underwater sculpture park that helps to form artificial reefs that can attract a multitude of marine species including corals, sponges, hydroids and algae, increasing the overall biomass of the reef and gathering fish species, which in turn can support the entire marine ecosystem.
Educative boards system on natural heritage sites.
Many important natural and cultural sights on the island of Murter remain undescribed. Tourists come, see and leave without knowing the story behind an object of natural or historical heritage. For this reason, the informative and educational panels were connected to the websites of the island of Murter. Behind the facts, these informative and educational panels contain a personal message to the visitor that could raise his awareness of culture and nature protection.
